 Speecharoos is therapist owned and operated by Christy Taylor,
M.Ed., CCC/SLP, who earned her master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Communication Disorders in 1994.
She is licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and holds a Clinical Certificate of Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. She has over 13 years experience working with children diagnosed with a variety of syndromes, neurological impairments and developmental delays in a multitude of settings to include both private and public schools, pediatric rehabilitation outpatient facilities and home health.
Christy specializes in working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and motor speech impairments.
She has advanced training in TalkTools by Sara Rosenfeld-Johnson and is actively seeking certification in PROMPT, which stands for Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets.
